JAMES EVANS - MY STORY

Hailing from Wolverhampton, James is a proud father of 4 and has spent the last 30 years adventuring both in the UK and around the world.

After leaving school in 1985 and "enjoying" some very diverse jobs, a yearn for adventure led James to travel to California to enjoy the beach and mountain life around Los Angeles.

After returning home for a while, James again travelled to the mountains, spending a season skiing and exploring in Andorra and the French Alps.

James returned back to Wolverhampton when the snows finally melted setting up and running an advertising company. After a couple of years he was lured into a sales role at a directories business utilising his advertising knowledge. Here he spent the next 25 years starting from the very bottom rung as a sales person and finally finishing leading a 200 strong Sales Operation and £200M. The next 4 years has seen James running his own business as a manangement consultant, helping tech starts ups in London and as far as Iceland deliver improved growth, utilising his extensive sales & communication expertise.

During this rewarding corporate career, James continued to explore and adventure, with many worldwide trips with his family as well as both mountaineering and exploration trips by himself around the Globe.

James has a passion for keeping fit and is forever exploring new challenges living life to the full. Over the last 2 years he has....

  • Snowboarded several times in Val D'Isère

James saw first hand during his Himalaya trip in 2022 and in Ecuador in 2023 the alarming impact of climate change on the glaciers. James has always believed deeply in sharing his passion for adventure, spending time outdoors for the incredible health benefits you get from challenging and pushing yourself both physically and mentally.

In 2022 James decided to set up Higher Educations to follow his desire for deeper altruism. He now visits schools delivering interactive presentations to classes, educating and inspiring children & young adults. James likes to share how everyone can lead a balanced life in terms of both a rewarding work career as well as still enjoying a life of adventure both in the UK and abroad.

During the bespokely created interactive sessions there is a lot of education and discussion around the link between healthy bodies and healthy minds along with....

  • climate change

  • resilience after school, what are intewiews & job hunting really lilke

  • the positive impact of pushing ourselves physically and mentally

  • teamwork

  • how you can build a career whilst still finding time to adventure for a full and meaningful life

So what next for James? He is deep in planning his next adventures for 2024, which currently centre around a return to the Himalaya
